This modern residential design is located at a high place in the area, overlooking vast panoramic views and mountain peaks. Taking into full consideration the owner’s unique understanding of the space, we have polished and designed a unique plan that seamlessly integrates the building into this wild environment, creating a harmonious and symbiotic scene.

The Poetry of Time
In the design concept stage, the designer adopted the warm and rustic Nordic cabin and the simple and practical classic American cabin, integrating the concepts of the two elements.
The orientation, overall design, and material selection of the building are all quite thoughtful. Using recycled and new natural materials, simple stone, wood, plaster, and glass tones, ensure that the residence is naturally rooted in the land, creating a natural and primitive atmosphere. The designer expects that over time, these elements will become softer in texture and color under natural weathering.
Ecological Theater
The designer has also added some new areas to this house, with bedrooms planned to be located slightly further away and cautiously connected to the main space from below, including a garage, boot room, and gym. The lower floors form a cozy courtyard entrance, allowing people to unconsciously feel the leisurely and comfortable life.
The original garage has been transformed into two bedrooms in the main house, and these additions and renovations have been carefully designed to complement the original design, preserving an intimate connection with the natural landscape. As expected by the designer, the architecture and landscape have undergone changes over time, giving the entire residence a more timeless charm.
The interior of the house has both a broad view and a quiet private space. The upper layer is bathed in sunlight, with a clear view of the sky and distant mountains; The lower level is integrated with the landscape, providing a quiet and private space.
The warmth and aroma of wood, the touch of the floor under your feet, the soft contour, and the breeze that freely passes through the space when french window are opened make the building more and more integrated with this extraordinary place.

Snake River Cabin
On a clearing between poplar and pine trees stands a low-key residential building, from which one can overlook the Snake Valley of Wyoming and the distant mountains.
When the owner and designer first communicated, they revealed their inner aspirations for an ideal home. I hope to have a house that perfectly blends with this magnificent scenery, a peaceful and modern place for spiritual rest, where I can fully immerse myself in the embrace of nature, listen to the wind and bird songs, feel the healing breath of plants and trees, and let my tired body and mind relax and recover here.
The building consists of two contrasting volumes. The first “life” structure is transparent, allowing for a panoramic view. From sunrise to sunset, it is filled with natural light, and the sturdy Douglas fir frame gives a warm and peaceful feeling.
The second building is relatively tall, with black wooden exterior walls and more practical functions inside, including a study and bedroom. Climbing up the stairs, the lower spatial structure combined with clever windows creates a secluded and dynamic atmosphere, immersing people in it.
To reflect the surrounding landscape, the designer selected a limited number of natural materials and tactile elements, with oak flooring and hemlock ceilings reminiscent of traditional cottages, in stark contrast to large areas of frameless insulated glass. This modern residence both respects and utilizes its unique geographical environment.
